Trapped In the Closet

January 3rd, 2009

Remember R-Kelly’s song.

This man is sleeping at another man’s house and when he is caught out he tries to reason his way out but when he calls home he hears a man’s voice he assumes his wife is cheating and he loses his mind and when he is lied to he thinks its okay forgetting that he also was cheating and then the truth finds him and he is furious. All of them were trapped in the closet and life will never be the same.

We also find ourselves trapped in the closet, as far as our dreams are concerned: Many dreams will never be realized because the dreamers are trapped in the closet.

Closets that Trap People

Covetousness: The closet of covetousness has people held down by a desire to have what others have. These people walk other people’s dreams. they only find motivation to pursue something once it is owned by someone else.

Living a LIE

Sometimes pressure causes us to pretend to be what we are not so that we can fit in the crowd.

Others Opinions

We are so good at believing what people say about us, especially when it is negative. people’s opinions are holding many people down.
Selfishness: Whatever talents we have are for other people’s benefit. that statement is so tru and is demonstrated by the fact that none of us use their names or cell phone numbers frequently. they both belong to us but are used by other people. selfishness is a closet because it deprives one with the opportunity to release the talents to others so that you can get more.

Emulous

People in this closet are preoccupied with beating someone. they are so competitive it is not funny. They can never congratulate a person who has succeeded because they think they can do better.

Tradition

letting the past determine the future is a closet that holds more people down than any other closet. people who say ‘been there, done that, moved on’. they refuse to believe that there is always another opportunity to excel. the wisest and most logical thing to do after a fall is to rise and after a failure is to start again.

If we could pluck up teh courage to get out of these closets - we are well on our way to personal execllence.

GET OUT OF THE CLOSET!!!

About Mars

January 3rd, 2009

Of all the planets Mars is very difficult to understand. If you can predict the behaviour of Mars, you have mastered Astrology. It is because, Mars apart from his behavior according to his House, Aspects, association etc., he has got a special nature of provoking the other planets. He makes the other planets behave , which otherwise are less harmful. Mars causes Rahu to throw his Maya , Illusion and hallucinations. Mars causes Saturn to become more dreadful, than what actually he is. Mars makes Sun, Mercury ,Venus and even Jupiter malefics. Mars causes accident and injury. After that he leaves the balance of destruction to Saturn, Mercury, Rahu and Venus; depending upon the location and aspects of these planets in a horoscope.

The nature of Mars becomes dominant, with respect to relationship of marriage and family members of the natal, when positioned in houses,1,4 ,7, 8 and 12, which is called Kuja Dosha. This has to be interpreted carefully, since almost all the horoscopes have it in one way or the other. But house no.1 and 8 are more harmful. The position of Mars in a chart determines a person’s personality. It gives more dominant position , assertion, less reasoning, childish cry of getting the things and objectives, come what may. Such positioning of Mars in Dosha houses, causes conflict with spouses, frequent quarrels. makes the life of the spouse, miserable. But relationship will not be broken down. Since the Martians need association to get pleasure by harming. Martians get pleasure, as a cat would get in dealing with a mouse.

Mars is the son of Earth. Kuja or Bhumija means the son of earth. Mars represents the garbha or womb of mother earth. He carries the heat, blackness, energy, fire , red-hot lava, and exerts his nature causing destruction . Mars induces self-aggrandisement, selfishness. Causes us to think, others live for us. Mars is male son. Mars represents masculinity, virility, vitriolity and dominant sex. Whereas the Venus represents the contra. Mars causes impotence, weak mind, distortions, aberrations. When Mars causes impotence, the mind is diseased. The Moon and / or Rahu behave in tandem with Mars. The distinction between Mars and Rahu, in causing the disease of the mind is that the Rahu creates illusions or hallucinations. But Mars does not create illusions, but makes a person get attracted to the sex, perversity, abnormality.

A person may attract towards a lady who is more aged or young. A person is attracted to unscrupulous, ill-virtuous ladies. Here there is no illusion. In fact that lady is more attractive. She attracts by her looks, body, colour; and even by odor. This is infatuation. Mars makes a person to fall for such infatuation. Whereas a healthy mind only appreciates the thing of beauty, as Keats did. Mars makes a person to go for all that is attractive. He creates vibrations in the mind, which makes a person to loose money for getting things which may make other persons envious. Whether a thing is necessary or the spending is necessary or not, Mars creates such childishness in the mind, ultimately the person looses money and looses the thing also as waste.Mars in association with Mercury is the cause for Personality Disorers, such as Sigmund Freud’s id and Excess spending. There is nothing in this world that what a Mars can do or undo things , either by himself or through provocation of other planets.

Yet on a higher pedestal. Mars is an engineer. He is creative. Use of tools, utility, innovation, and a builder. He is a Yogi. Especially Hatha Yoga and Tantra which require strength, determination and concentration of mind and body. Mars is a Marshall- General. He will not go into the triviality of much thinking before acting. Act first. Aim victory, and nothing else will do. Alas! Mars is always victorious. The other things follow. Mars will not listen to others. He would not reason out things. Or he may not be patient enough . That is why the Mars people are very difficult to handle. They are usually ferocious and aggressive. One can see marks of wounds on the body of a Mars person.

For Cancer and Leo ascendants, he is Rajayoga Karaka. For Mars Capricorn is the sign of exaltaion and Cancer is the sign of debility. For Jupiter vice-versa. In the horoscope of Lord Rama, whose ascendant is Cancer, Mars is posited in 7th house of Capricorn. Even though Mars is not a separative planet [ Sun, Saturn Rahu, Ketu and Lord of 12th ], brought about separation of Rama with his wife Sita, augmenting the power of 7th house, whose Lord is Saturn, a separative planet. He got back his wife only through a war ( Mars content ). Mars being the Lord of 5th house,[Scorpio is the negative house of Mars ] which stands for issues and children, Lord Rama’s sons were separated from him and even fought a battle ( Mars content ) with their father. [ For in-depth analysis , see, This Author's Book of Articles : Horoscope of Rama Avatar].

Regarding the Deity of Mars, there are three views. According to one view , the deity is Hanuman; According to another view, the deity is Muruga or Kartikeya, the Second son of Lord Shiva. One more view is that the deity is Lord Laksmi Narasimha.Mars is considered as Vishnu Avatarof Narasihma. Worship Lord Hanuman on a Saturday ; Or worship Lord Lakshmi Narasimha on a Tuesday. Definitely Mars will be pleased to bestow his grace . At least a person is bestowed, if that person is rid of the “Kapi Cheshta” ,by Mars. Worship of Skanda or his different forms - Muruga, Karthikeya, Subramanya is very difficult, since He is a strict disciplinarian. Like wise Lord Narasimha alone without Laksmi beside. But Hanuman is a different character.

Even though He is a celibate, His detachment of worldly life will not come in the way of understanding the difficulties of this Samsara. He comes to the rescue of those who are in distress, easily.Lord Hanuman represents or causes the blessings of the following deities :Saturn through Shiva & Parvathi, Mercury through Rama & Sita, Mars through Lakshmi-Narasihma,Venus through Lakshmi or Parvathi. Worship one deity and get four others free.
Hint : Those who are in share market, follow Mars. Follow aspect by Jupiter on Mars. Follow the timings of events, such as Mars in Aries, Reliance alliance, Boom in Indian share market, which will continue up to February 2006.

EE Meditation, Shaman + Integrated Soul Personality, Fragmentation, MPD + DID, Psychology; Pt 1 of 3

January 3rd, 2009

There is in every person the possibility of an integrated Soul Personality. However, normally the average person is split to a greater or lesser degree, dependent upon the amount of pain, trauma and undigested stress in their lives and dependent upon the amount of work they have done to integrate their personalities by means of therapy and meditation.

Therapy and psychology allow intellectual appreciation of the problem in ourselves and others. It takes meditation to heal the splits and integrate the separated selves.

Charles Tart and others have used the symbology of the very nature of cyberspace as acting as a sort of “universal solvent” to break up our long cherished notions, myths that everyone is a monolithic self.

The ease with which we can take on new Split Personalities and new connectivities in the virtual domain implies an average self which is multivalent, fluid and de-centered– a self which often operates in parallel, in different modalities and different capacities.

I propose that a model for the average unintegrated person, this new, postmodern, postrationalist, cyberspatial self can be found in the cluster of psychological manifestations currently known as Splitting - or Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID), and formerly and more popularly as Multiple Personality Disorder (MPD).

But I also propose that Shamen and Enlightened Saints have provided a higher model of Personality integration in the concept of the Soul Infused Personality and integration with the Higher Self.

The average person lives in a more or less completely self-constituted world, where fragments of personality are imbedded in a matrix of delusional projections. It is a world where inner-driven states are substituted for any kind of consensual reality, and a world where it is almost meaningless to talk about having “personality” at all.

The task of Deleuze and Guattari’s happy schizophrenic is to harness this condition of non-referentiality to the use of forging a new kind of self, in an essentially linguistic transformation, free of the moral and psychological despotism of Modernism.

Schizophrenia is very different from normal and average Splitting only in degree.

The concept of dissociation

The concept of Multiple Personalities has evolved over not just centuries, but millennia, and throughout cultures as varied as nomadic hunter gatherers of the sub-arctic to contemporary industrial societies. At its core, this concept involves the inherent capacity of the human psyche to dissociate or split.

Colin Ross defines dissociation quite simply: “Dissociation is the opposite of association…For definitional purposes the psyche may be reduced to a collection of elements in complex relationships with each other. Psychic elements include thoughts, memories, feelings, motor commands, impulses, sensations, and all the other constituents of psychic life. Any two psychic elements may be more associated … or relatively isolated and separate, which is to be dissociated.” (Ross, 1997, p 116).

Dissociation is an important factor in normal psychological functioning, allowing for a degree of mutability and adaptability which would be impossible without it. In the absence of healing the painful event causing the split personality it is true that the only option of the average person is to have amnesia of the causing event which again causes all these symptoms.

It is probably best to think of dissociation on a steadily worsening continuum of split personality symptoms, from ordinary daydreaming, through such phenomena as forgetting where one is going on the freeway, to the particularly florid manifestations of dissociation which are commonly labeled as Multiple Personality. Although the phenomenon is usually thought of as purely psychological in nature, it can actually be either biologically or psychosociologically driven, as given by Ross (Ross, 1997, p 116):

Symptoms of the Split Personality
1.Normal biological dissociation– Forgetting that you got up in the night to go to the bathroom.
2.Normal psychosocial dissociation– Daydreaming during a boring lecture.
3.Abnormal psychosocial dissociation– Amnesia for incest.
4.Abnormal biological dissociation– Amnesia following a concussion.

An integrated soul personality is always there, solid, not lost or daydreaming.

These biological aspects of dissociation reinforce the notion that it is an entirely normal process in the average person.

Dissociation due to encapsulated pain is the only resort of the psyche which does not have the ability, through meditation to ground and heal that encapsulated pain or energy blockage.

Grounding the encapsulated trauma and pain centered in an energy blockage will obviate the necessity for the split and indeed heal any split which has occurred.

Shamen and the Guru as trained Healers. The earliest known references to dissociative phenomena are to be found in Neolithic cave paintings, in which Shamen can be seen entering into dissociated parts of their clients symbolised as animals and spirits. Jung used a similar methodology.

In fact, throughout the long march of what we call pre-history, such integrated psychic power abilities had great survival value, by enabling a connection with the interior worlds of spirits and animals, with which split humans coexisted. Persons adept at such entering the psyche of the split client for the purposes of integration were given positions of considerable power and respect in “primitive” societies.

Shamen and the enlightened, though, always had the ability to enter, heal and then come back. Split Personalities are lost, they are still searching for the road home, searching for Integration and healing.

The shamanistic tradition has survived almost to the present day in the circumpolar regions of Asia and North America, and study of these cultures provides our best view of how shamanism operated over tens of thousands of years so it is illustrative to examine this incredibly ancient and successful tradition.

Most shamen, as near as can be determined, seemed to be healthy and not suffering from mental disorders. They were integral members of their societies and often went through long periods of training to become adept, all of which argue against any sort of pathological component to their craft. The Shamen of the far north rarely, if ever, used hallucinogenic plants, relying instead exclusively on self-hypnosis and meditation. They were, in effect, rigorously trained professional psychics, priests who functioned variously as weather forecasters, doctors and conveyors of the oral tradition.

An example of the training given to Shamen is available in a 5000 years old text called, “The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali.” In there a meditational methodology for integration with the soul has been extant for millennia. However, always the Guru Shaman who has walked the path was considered essential to the process of soul integration.

The healer, Shaman, Enlightened through much training, always have the ability to come back to themselves, to re-integrate after helping the integration of a client.

However, the cure for split personality for everyone is integration of the splits by grounding all the negative energy created by traumatic experiences which sustains the splits. As we ground all the negative energy through meditation, so the splits disappear and one integrated soul personality becomes in charge..

Start your integrative Process by learning how to meditate and then speed it up with the advanced techniques of Energy Enhancement based upon the thousands of years old ancient effective techniques of Taoism, The Kundalini Kriyas, The five elemental circulations of the Qi of Chinese Alchemical Taoism, The Guided Meditation of the Emerald tablet of Hermes Trismegistus encapsulated in VITRIOL and The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali.

Our Destiny Begins From Within Ourselves

January 2nd, 2009

What is success ? There are many definitions. One that I hear often is “to
do (or to live according to) what you want”. That is true, but I would
complete the definition by adding and underlining: “knowing what you really
want”. In fact, we are often pushed to go and put our energy in achieving
what we are “supposed” to want, and we may give not enough attention in
making sure about what we really want. I say “supposed” to want because
there are many external factors that condition us and determine our beliefes
around what is good and what is not, what is a good goal and what is not,
and so on.

But the self-awareness about who we really are and what we really want is
the premise to achieving any real, long lasting success in our life. Without
this, we are likely to move along two ways: One is the walk around life
aimless, without a goal. The other is to pursue an aim that, on a deep
level, we do not feel like really ours. In both these situation we find
difficulties in expressing and manifesting our full potential. Even if we
keep on repeating ourselves that we have a certain goal, if we are not
deeply convinced of it, it will be difficult for us to really put all the
necessary energy and committment. Our inner conflicts and not clear
intentions interfere with our actions.

Things turn around dramaticly when we know what we really want. Not only we
feel and use another level of energy, but also we experience a feeling of
peace and trust. We are then ready to manifest what we have inside in the
world around us and create the destiny we deserve. We achieve dramatic
improvement in all the key areas of our life: relationships, body, financial
state.

All we need is already within us now, but we need to really find it, listen
to it, and translate it into our realities. When we dedicate time to this
research within ourselves, we spend well our time, in my opinion. In the
self-improvement world, there are also techniques that can help in this
process and speed it up. It is a promising and fashinating research. Just
one more, appearently small idea, can have a huge impact in our whole life.

Best wishes,
Roberto Zarotti

A Kearny New Jersey advocate won from a lawyer in Miami Florida

January 2nd, 2009

In other words the ADEA permits employers to discriminate based on age considering age is legitimately necessary under the circumstances. For example it would not be illegal to consider criteria for a particular role in a movie that has a disparate impact on age if the part calls for someone of a particular age. A lawyer from Uden won from a in Fresno California At the trial a jury found Knolls had violated the ADEA because its layoff procedure had a disparate impact based on age. The Supreme Court ruled that if an employer seeks to rely on that defense. The Supreme Court has previously recognized that the employer has the burden to establish the BFOQ affirmative defense. Knolls totaled those scores and gave the employees additional points based on their years of service. The United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit initially affirmed the jurys findings but after the United States Supreme Court asked it to reconsider the Second Circuit reversed itself and ruled in favor of Knolls. Twenty-eight of those 62 employees sued under the ADEA claiming Knolls illegally fired them because of their age. In that case Meacham versus Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory the Supreme Court interpreted a provision of the ADEA that permits an employer to take an adverse employment action against an employee. Thirty of the 33 salaried employees the company laid off were at least 47 years old. In reaching its conclusion that the employer has the burden to prove the reasonable factors other than age defense the Supreme Court looked at another provision of the ADEA the bona fide occupational qualification defense. Even if the employment action is otherwise prohibited by the ADEA. The BFOQ defense states that it is not unlawful for an employer to take adverse employment actions otherwise prohibited by the ADEA where age is a bona fide occupational qualification reasonably necessary to the normal operation of the particular business. As long as the adverse action is based on reasonable factors other than age. Specifically the jury found that although the plaintiffs did not prove that Knolls intentionally discriminated against them they did prove that Knolls method of deciding who to lay off disproportionately harmed older workers. The Supreme Court then agreed to hear the case and eventually reversed the Second Circuit and reinstated the jurys finding that Knolls policy unlawfully discriminated because of age. The company had its supervisors rate their subordinates based on their performance flexibility and critical skills. In Meacham Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory was planning to lay off a number of employees. It has the burden to prove that its decision was based on a reasonable factor other than age. It then used those totals to decide who to lay off.

Create More Romance In Your Life

January 1st, 2009

Ah, romance, that wonderful and exciting feeling, that most glorious intertwining of two hearts. So intense, such a high, but so fleeting, and so often for so many once gone never to return. But does it have to be that way? Can we intentionally create and sustain more romance in our lives?

Most folks profess to want more romance in their lives. Indeed, for some, romance is a goal unto itself, or at least high on the list of goals for their love relationships.

But if having romance in our committed love relationships is a highly prized goal, and if so many people want more of it in their lives, how can we create, cultivate, and encourage it? What concrete steps can we take to make sure that romance takes seed and flourishes?

The purpose of this article is to explore the idea that romance begins in your heart-center and grows outward, and is, to some significant degree, a reflection of how you feel about yourself. In other words, by romancing yourself first you can create the conditions that allow you to experience and express romance with another more easily.

Listen: your capacity to love and accept yourself is the measure of your capacity to love and accept others. The same can be said for romance: your ability and willingness to create romance within is the measure of the romance you can help create in a committed loving relationship.

True romance isn’t just about flowers and poems. Flowers and poems are great, of course, but are really just an extension of a feeling that comes from within, something that starts in, and flows from, the heart. Without that heart-felt feeling, flowers and poems are but an attempt be to romantic, not an expression of true romance.

So how do you create more romance in your life? Begin by romancing yourself. Love, accept, and forgive yourself on a deep level. Treat yourself with respect and understanding. Buy yourself flowers. Write yourself a poem. Treat yourself with respect and dignity. And remember: if you don’t love yourself first, you can’t truly love another.

And remember that it is far more important to be the right person than to find the right person. Our relationships are a reflection of the relationship we have with ourselves. Romance, too, is a reflection of that inner state. By first creating romance within, you’ll be well on your way to creating more romance in your life.

    December 30th, 2008

But first you’ve got to raise your standards.

I know at some point you had big dreams. You felt and believed that you were going to change the world in some significant way. Make things better, safer for our kids. Something.

You knew deep down that you had a special gift that no one else has.

You know what, come a little closer I want to make sure you hear this-

-You did have a special gift. And… you still do! The gift that you were so sure you had didnt leave you, you left it.

Oh, I know the drill. Your goals and dreams have taken a back seat to trying to scratch out a living. Theyve become buried in the daily struggles and frustrations of life. So much so that now you dont even think much about achieving your goals and living your dreams. Its all you can do to get to the end of the week. Life has become nothing more than a struggle for survival to the next crisis.

Well kids Im here to tell you, theres more to Life than just surviving it.

If youre not either currently living your dreams or feel absolutely certain about the path youre on leading to the achievement of your goals and dreams heres why. Dont take this personally, or do take it personally, either way what it boils down to is your standards for what you EXPECT are too low. One of lifes truisms is that we absolutely get what we expect to get. Set your personal standards on average and thats exactly what you, everyone, and everything around you will be. On the other hand (and yes, the choice is yours) be the kind of person who insists on above average EVERYTHING and youll find yourself living in an above average environment.

Oh and that gift that you left somewhere back there? Its still right there waiting for you to pick it up. But first you gotta”

    Raise your standards.

    Thanks for stopping in.

Live some. Love some. Learn some. Everyday.

    C…

    Links for Debt Consolidation

    Links for debt consolidation

The New Year is nearly here and it got me thinking about the likely increase in numbers of regular folk needing help with personal finance issues and the inevitable deluge of ‘money saving’ tips and advice that’s likely to ensue.

I’m thinking debt consolidation services here in particular . . . I imagine that many consumers will have over spent in the Christmas period and that a few will wake up with a bit of a financial hangover. But I’m also wondering what affect the credit crunch will have had on the debt consolidation industry, specifically in relation to the recent demise of the secured loan market.

Anyhow, I put together a quick list of useful debt consolidation resources where you will be able to find lots of useful debt advice on personal debt and debt consolidation issues. Please note that I’m not endorsing any of these debt consolidation resources . . . they’re just a list of useful websites I found when researching debt consolidation myself.

The sites are a mix of commercial, not-for profit and informational resources offering a wide range of help and debt advice with debt consolidation, including debt consolidation loans and alternative debt solutions such as free debt management plans and general personal finance advice.

As ever, I’d suggest you use your own judgement when using this debt consolidation resource list:

PS: As far as I can tell the specifics of ‘debt consolidation’ are taking out one larger loan in order to repay all your existing debts and consolidate your repayment into the new (and presumably lower) monthly payment.
